Brett Danko

Brett Danko, CFP^® grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Brett has held positions as Chief Administrative Officer of a privately managed group of investment funds and subsequently was the Chief Administrative Officer for a financial software company. In January of 2001, Brett left this business to complete his certification in financial planning and officially became a CFP^® professional in 2002.

He is involved in various aspects of financial planning and education. In addition to teaching all the CFP^® Certification required education courses and the “live review” for those taking the CFP^® Board Certification Examination, Brett is the President of Main Street Financial Solutions, LLC and a featured nationwide lecturer on matters of personal finance.

Brett lives in Lawrenceville, NJ with his wife, Dawn, and two children.

Michael S. Minter

Michael Minter, CFP^® comes to Main Street Financial Solutions from Merrill Lynch where he worked with corporate executives, business owners, professionals and retirees. His investment background assists him in building customized portfolios for each client's unique situation.  He believes prudent investments that are allocated properly with low fees are essential to maximizing returns.

Michael’s diverse group of clients requires him to have a strong educational background. He graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Finance and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM, as well as, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor^TM.

Michael and his wife, Laila, live in Yardley, PA with their two sons and two dogs.

Doug Buchan

Doug Buchan, CFP^® comes to Main Street Financial Solutions from The Tilson Financial Group (TFG), where he spent five years helping clients make smart choices with their money. At TFG, Doug was also the Chief Investment Strategist, building optimal portfolios for all clients based on each client’s specific needs, goals and dreams. While Doug brings significant investment expertise to the table, he believes no portfolio can be properly built without building a comprehensive financial plan.

Doug works hard with new clients to help them conceptualize what’s truly important to them, both the tangible “importances” (goals) as well as the intangible “importances” (values). Then, and only then, do we build and implement an optimal portfolio that will start the client down the path to financial freedom, peace of mind, and – ideally – life fulfillment.

Doug graduated Cum Laude from University of Richmond, and lives in Basking Ridge, NJ with his wife and three kids.

Tara Conti

Tara Conti, CFP^® has traveled a long and winding road that provides her with the diversification to better serve you.  She wants to share her knowledge and passion to help others live the life of their dreams.

Tara began her journey by graduating magna cum laude with a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College and then earned a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Finance from Virginia Tech. She worked for Andersen Consulting / Accenture for seven years as a financial software consultant and manager. She is a certified life coach from The NLP and Coaching Institute of California and most recently came to Main Street Financial Solutions from EKS Associates in Princeton, NJ where she had been life coaching and financial planning for several years.

Tara is an avid reader who also enjoys running, cooking, traveling, music and being outside as much as possible.

Nicolás Valdés-Fauli

Nicolás Valdés-Fauli, CFP^® opened our New York City office in June, 2010. He brings with him eight years of experience as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

Nicolás commits himself to listening and understanding his client’s needs in order to create personalized strategies to meet their particular objectives. His investment philosophy is founded on diligent research and hard work.

Nicolás grew up in Miami, FL and after attending Choate Rosemary Hall he graduated with a B.A. from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. A member of Delta Kappa Epsilon and the University Club of New York, Nicolás lives in Manhattan’s Upper East Side with his wife Susanna.
