Andrew J. Murphy

    Andrew has more than 30 years of industry experience in banking, finance, and investment management, so he understands and believes that wealth management is more than just the wide range of financial services and solutions you can access at GENCapital – it is how those services and solutions are developed and delivered to help you pursue your goals. That’s why he offers a customized approach to wealth management, built on a personal relationship and shaped by an understanding of your needs and aspirations.     Andrew coordinates high-level planning, lending, alternative investments, and single stock diversification strategies for wealthy families and executives. Prior to co-founding GENCapital, he served as Senior Vice President at UBS, a Director in the Private Client Services Division at Deutsche Bank in Atlanta, and was a Senior Vice President in the Capital Management Group at Wachovia Bank.

    Andrew graduated from Furman University, where he earned his B.A. in business administration. He earned his M.B.A. from Georgia State University’s Executive M.B.A. Program at the Robinson School of Business.

    Andrew and his wife, Laura, live in Sandy Springs and have three children. Living in the Atlanta area since 1991, Andrew has been and continues to be involved in various civic and community activities within a wide spectrum of groups and organizations. He recently served on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. Additionally, Andrew currently serves on the Advisory Board to Kids and Pros, Inc. and the Furman University President’s Advisory Council.
